I've listened to and read a lot of feedback about this exhibtiion, and there is a constant refrian which sits at the heart of our politics.
Should we (as we did)aim to show as many artists as possible, creating as inclusive environment within which individual visitors can make their own judgements about the work displayed, or should we aim for some sort of "minimum standard", show less artists.

despite some of the "less than helpful" responses to my last post, i'm trying again working on the basis that there msut be some people like me who read john's blog?! and i am genuinely interested in any opporutnity for dialetical exchanges of ideas, to help me develop and refine my own artistic perspective.
